London Studies One

About the Group:
London Studies One is one of the original Edenbridge U3A groups with its first visits starting in 2013. The group has some 40 members and usually do one visit a month to our capital city for most of the year. The exceptions have been August. 2026 was exceptionally hot so no visits were made in June and July. In December we gather for our Christmas lunch in a local hostelry.

In September group members have a meeting to review the last year of visits and if any issues became apparent.  Members take it in turns to organise the visits. The organiser(s) take full responsibility to manage the visit using our group WhatsApp.

Over the years we have visited some amazing places, but there are still many “gems” to be discovered and enjoyed. We are a large friendly group and support new members many ways such as if somebody hasn’t organised a visit before.

Currently we have no vacancies.  Members who are interested may wish to go on the waiting list as members do leave. Accordingly, if you are interested in putting your name down on the reserve list please contact Molly Ward.

When and where?
Visits normally take place on the third or fourth Friday of the month but can change due to requirements of venue. Numbers on visits rarely exceed 25; also the venue may state a minimum or maximum number.

Cost?
Travel and entrance fees. It is becoming more common that we are required to pay beforehand to secure the booking. The organiser will advise on the amount and by when it must be paid by members.
